Hugging....in the scientific aspects...hugging holds two different body together....two different world together....hugging reduces ones ego...gives us the feeling of equality....calms one down...reduces anxiety....hugging actually connects two hearts...i always feel protected and loved wenever i hug my dad....the closeness..the bound can really be felt.....i love to hug people....those who i know lah....because we need torespect the opposite party since hugging is not healthy especially wen it comes to opposites sexes.....but today people are changing and moving towards openness and liberalism....do u believe that people got healed by touching....hugging is a form of touching which tells the body that no one is alone....hugging means equality.....hug ur parents for those who have not hugged them before....i still remember wen i hugged my uncle who was admitted in hospital...he cried...cos he told me that he really needs a hug....gives him confidence to fight his sick....so everytime i visit him, i'll make sure i hug...its free after all.

Here is Something For all...

A hug is a wonderful gift to share,
A way to show each other that we care;
There is so much a hug is able to do,
When you feel those arms holding you.

A hug is a place to feel safe and warm,
A comfort for a sad heart that is torn;
An expression of the love in our heart,
For ones who we wish, never to be apart.

A hug is a greeting when we meet to say hello,
Or to say goodbye when we have to go;
It can hold us up when life gets us down,
And makes us smile, instead of frown.

A hug can be given for no reason at all,
And given to those, both big and small;
We're never too old to feel the joy it brings,
As it is one of life's most pleasing things.

yes, hug is free ut it brings compassion, joy and warmth to the receiver as well as the giver. I beleive there is an international hugging day, dont know the date though. They encourage everyone to hug, hug your family, hug your friends, hug your relatives , hug your lover and even hug your enemies. Now isnt that a classic?

Hugging is not our culture.... touching an elders feet for blessing and or joining ur two palms wishing vanakam and saying a heartful "vanga", eppadi irukinga or nalla irukingala with mouthful of smile is our culture.

We cannot be hugging all frenz, relatives and ppl we know... as most of us were not brough up like that...... we were thought to say the word "vanga", nalla irukingala, utkarunga and give them a glass of water before talk further.

But i do hug my three best friends (2 females & a male) when we meet. That is because we hardly meet.... once in 3 months maybe....

The most important thing is the other party should feel comfortable with ur hug and depends where and when you are doing it. Make sure its not going to create any misunderstanding with their partner.

you also hugged me daa... when we meet the other day... :p Razz Laughing Razz
