Crispy Fried Prawns
Ingredients:
Medium size Prawns - 25-30
Soya sauce - 1 tsp
Vinegar - 1 tbsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Pepper powder - � tsp
Ginger- garlic paste - 2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Corn flour - as required
Oil - to fry
Method:
1. Shell the prawns but leave the tails in tact. De vein, wash and pat dry.
2. Mix with rest of the ingredients from Soya sauce to salt. Allow to soak for 1/2 hr.
3. Add enough corn flour to absorb all the moisture.
4. Heat oil for deep frying and fry the prawns few at a time in moderately hot oil. Serve immediately. _________________ manie |

Chilli Prawns
Ingredients:
120 gms. small prawns,
1 tbsp. oil,
1 tsp. cumin powder,
� onion, chopped,
1 small tomato chopped
2 tbsp. ginger-garlic paste,
1 tsp. red chilli powder,
salt to taste,
juice of 1 lemon,
1 tsp. ground fenugreek (methi),
� tsp. black,
crushed pepper,
1 tsp. fresh ginger chopped 1 tsp. fresh green chilli chopped 1 tsp. fresh coriander,
chopped.
To garnish :
a red pepper julienne
1 yellow pepper,
julienne
1 green pepper,
julienne
some parsley (optional).
Method:
1. Wash and de-vein the prawns and dry them. Heat the oil in a kadai or a non-stick fry pan.
2. Add the cumin and onion and cook for about 5 mins. until lightly browned.
3. Add the chopped tomato and fry until the tomato is fully cooked and dry, then add the ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, salt to taste, lemon juice, ground fenugreek and crushed pepper.
4. Stir-fry for 1-2 mins. Add the fresh ginger, chilli and coriander. Add the cleaned prawns and stir fry for about 3 mins.
5. And put into a serving bowl or kadai. Garnish with boiled julienne-sliced red, green and yellow pepper and parsley. _________________ manie |

Spicy Prawns
Ingredients:
Prawns - 500 gms (cleaned)
Onions - 500 gms (finely chopped)
Tomato - 500 gms (finely chopped)
Red chillies - 2
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Chilli Powder - 2 tbsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 tbsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp
Oil - 250 gms
Method:
1.
When the oil in the pan is hot, put mustard seeds and red chillies. When it splutters, put onions and saute it till it becomes golden brown.
2.
Then add tomato and wait till it is cooked well and smashed in oil.
3.
Add prawns and saute for a while. After 5 minutes add ginger garlic paste and saute continuously for 5 more minutes.
4.
Add chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder mix well and add 1/2 glass of water and stir. Wait till the water is evaporated and the oil separates from the dish.
5.
Decorate it with finely chopped coriander leaves. _________________ manie |
