manie u can look for SPCA in yellow pages and call to enquire. I know one located in Ampang near to International School. They give for adoption there, plenty of choice.

yes, its true. You need to pay between RM 150 to RM 300 to adopt. But still cheaper than pet shops for the same type. When I asked the reason they said its because they had to pay for injection, antibiotics, this, that, bla, bla, bla....

Yes, Malays can keep dogs if they want. Its just that they are not allowed to touch the dogs' mouth or nose area which is wet and they say it will be religeously unclean to touch that parts and they have to clean and purify themselves if touched. Wink

manie kutty... u can always get one from the streets dear.... no matter where they come from dogs r men's best fren and loyal companion... i got rusty tat way..... then took him to the vet for basic check-up, cleaned him up with good dog shampoo to remove watever lice he collected from the streets and he was with us for a good 10 years! And image he was a cross-breed between a mongrel and terrier .... short and cute!
