yes bro,
at the same time, maybe, no more 'hot' issues like last time. So, less issues, less arguments, less participants and less interesting. But, I do visit this site every working day. |

hi guys,
i do agree with u all/...no hot topics
one more thing out of my opinion....the homepage lacking something we call as instanteneous access to hot topics...
hi admin,
could you have some kind of clumn which highlights the topics which are cosidered as hot topics...such as in LI last time....try to make the slot for 10-15 topics ...this way people wont get bored browsing thru all the categories...anyway most of us are logging in from work so we wanna make our visit short but meaningful...we dont have tme to browse one by one category.....if this is implemented then it is good for us and this would make the forum interesting...

What would be cooler is that instead of that...have the side bar mirror topics that have a certain number of posts? Maybe like 10 threads with 100 posts minimum?...that will make it a hot topic and it will show up on the side bar. The one in LI is flawed since it just shows the latest threads and any thread that has been update hence you got the 'actual' hot topic got swallowed by the smaller(a haven for spammers)....job vacancies...work from home...make money online posts.

yupe i agree with that upgrade too bro...this could sustain the hot topics rather that the spam topics... |

Right...and I just realised after making that post that this forums uses phpBB. Its a free buletin board framework so I'm not sure if that is possible to do. So don't get your hopes up. I'll try to see if anything like that can be done.

Yes, I managed to find out that this can be done. All these features can be had by upgrading to the latest version of the phpBB2 which I think goes something like phpBB 2.0.23 or thereabouts or to do a complete conversion to phpBB 3.0. There is a method to do this without losing any of the existing data. It will take some time for me to look into this and do it but it definitely can be done. Give me some time folks. Stay tuned!
Frags if you can spend sometime on this subject, let me know your inputs as well. I can be contacted via email [email protected]
