i wear pottu everyday... no matter what i wear... pottu is a must... infact i have changed to a bigger size pottu this year compare to previous years.
I also wear metti everyday..... whatever shoe type i wear... only took it out when i was pregnant..... due to leg swallon.
thali.. no way of taking it out......
This year i've also started wearing bangles..... 1st it was out of fashion.... later i started to like it... and continued wearing it even to work..... Remember ... when we meet... i was wearing the bangles with all colours???? i wear that everyday.
I dun see anything wrong or different wearing a pottu for traditional wear and not wearing it for jeans......or office outfit...... same for the size also.... i dun see anything weird or odd on a lady wearing pottu with jeans or official office/meeting/conference dress code.
i think if u choose a nice standard size pottu... u can wear for whatever dress u r wearing..... |

well well, no need t be angry here...u seee if u cant even make a effort to put a pottu which consumes about 5-6 mins worst case to symbolize u r married, y bother talking about respect to ur husband if u cant even spend 5 mins to put pottu.....even some case old ppl use to say only widow will be without pottu....so why la girls wanna kill their husband so fast......talking abuot sincere to husband is not a case here.....this about getting over the head when a guys site adikeran u...it is a thrill ill suppose.....
Why do I need to wear pottu to show that am married? Doesnt kungumam on partition of our hair alone shows celarly that we are married? Pottu is just a sticker!!! If you determine a respect of a wife by just applying pottu i cant argue much.. anyway why I care abt wat others think i know i live for my husband.. thats more than enough.. i am just being myself...
Who cares abt other guys who side adikeran!! As long as you know that you belong to someone and tat you are sincere to him.. then i think it should be a problem... _________________ We grow by our dreams.... Keep dreaming... |

yup, you are right too.
When you are sincere and your hubby is ok with it, no problem.
Hmmm....why young guys are very sensitive with this kind of petty issues.
Married ones are normally very cool about all these "pottu" and "thali" things, i think once married, the guys understand what should be given priority.
Not all women wearing thalli 24/7 are "pathini" and those who are not wearing "thali" for some reasons are not whores.
The women without "pottu" or "thali" might have many unexplainable reasons....don't judge them or insult them. |

not about sensitivity mirugam saaare/madam.....u see first of all y not wearing pottu? which is our tradition? second is wearing pottu that shameful? like nitha and paal gova their make their time to wear the pottu to work....welll just not restrict to married women alone, talking about the sngles too....this attitude should be instilled since young.....welll this goes under parentinghood i think or maybe self-reliance....who knows i didnt pin point anyone specifically....but i do know few girls in my office and alos my friends wo got nicely from me.....when they mentioned about not wearing pottu and thalii just to get the thrill of guys site adikeraning them.....so i am not sure about ur intention....but y cant girls spend split second wearing pottu?
my humble opinion |

my humble opinion too...
do you seriously think that wearing pottu and thalli prevent from guys "side adikaren"....
hmmm....so far i never come across any woman who removes pottu and thalli just to attract guys...but i have seen women who wear big kumkumam and manjal thalli behaving cheaply...
I'm not against our culture or tradition, but i should not interfere with others veiwpoint, yeap...of course you can give some suggestion but not in an insulting way.
anyway black, proud of you yaar. Keep up with your awareness. |
